The mid-season finale of The Flash finally saw Flash confront Reverse-Flash and it was a jaw-dropping episode that had plenty of surprises, revelations, and twists that most of us probably saw coming and others that we probably didn’t.

The man in the yellow suit is back and trying to get his hands on Tachyon particles that would allow him to become invincible. He goes to Mercury labs, headed by Dr. Christina McGee who has a history of competition with Harrison Wells. Barry confronts him, but he is so fast and powerful that Barry is left feeling powerless to stop him.

Meanwhile, Iris finally finds out about Barry being in love with her and while we don’t know what this brings for the two, we do know she is still planning on moving in with Eddie after he asked her in this episode. Eddie also learns about the meta-humans when he helps Joe and Wells capture the man briefly. Joe avoids telling him about Barry being Flash. And we get touching scenes with Barry and the two men in his life who call him their son.

Then, the final scene of the episode gives us a shocker about Harrison Wells that no one, maybe, saw coming. While we knew he was hiding something, this only further brings into question just exactly what he is up to and will he hurt Barry in the future?

Plus, Ronnie, Caitlin’s fiancé, is alive and known as ‘Firestorm,’ as he calls himself. She is overcome with emotion as Cisco helps her find him and deal with the situation.

All in all, the mid-season finale of The Flash gave us so much to look forward to when the show comes back on Jan. 20 of next year. Until then, let’s take a look at the top ten moments from “The Man in the Yellow Suit.”

1. Joe and Barry

Joe and Barry had a special moment at the end of the episode after Barry admits that the reason he lost was because he had been scared his entire life. Joe tells Barry that he was terrified himself when he took Barry in, but the truth was that Barry changed his life. He tells the young man not to lose his light because while Flash was what the world wanted, he needed “my Barry Allen.”

Extra

Our extra scene comes because of the amazing twist we saw at the end. We saw Wells go into a room where the yellow suit for Reverse-Flash was hanging. He put something on the chest before we hear him speak in an automated voice. I think it’s safe to say while we knew Wells was up to something, this was definitely a major twist!
