Josh Paler Lin, a YouTube star, made a video this past weekend that will make you tear up on this Christmas Day. Lin gave a homeless man $100 and had his cameras follow him to see how he spends the money. What the man did next might surprise you.
After Lin gave him the money, he saw the man walk into a liquor store and was at first disappointed. The man came out with a big bag and Lin feared that he just used the money to get alcohol. However, the cameras then saw the man handing out food to other homeless.
“There’s things money can’t buy,” the man told Lin. “And I get a happiness out of what I’ve done here.”
Lin then offers to give him another $100, but the man doesn’t want to take it. He was left stunned.
The man then told Lin his story, which was terribly sad. He then told Lin that there are a “lot of good people who are homeless.”
Lin also started a Indiegogo campaign for the man, whose name is Thomas. People shattered the $10,000 goal and the campaign has raised $91,400 already.
