A$AP Yams, founder of A$AP Mob, has died at the age of 26. A$AP Rocky and A$AP Ferg were also in the collective.

His cause of death has not become available but his label, RCA Records, has confirmed the co-owner of ASAP Worldwide’s death.

New York Times reports the label said in a statement, “As one of the creative forces behind ASAP Worldwide, Yams’ vision, humor and dedication to the members of ASAP Mob will always be remembered.”

Since his death, artists like Drake and Rihanna have taken to social media to send their condolences.

“Rest in peace Yams. A$AP is family,” Drake tweeted.

“RiP Yamz! #longliveASAP :'(“ Rihanna wrote along with posting a portrait of him to Instagram.

A$AP Yams’ real name is Steven Rodriguez. He has previously discussed his issues with drug abuse, telling the Times in 2013, “I got to chill. It’s not a good look up there in the office. They’re not gonna have any faith.”
