Angelina Jolie spoke about her sudden chicken pox outbreak during her press tour to promote her directorial effort Unbroken on the Today Show on Friday.
Jolie talked about how ill-timed the outbreak was, but beamed about her children stepping in for her at the premiere with husband Brad Pitt.
Jolie called it “so absurd” that she got the chicken pox to begin with.
"What was even stranger, during the day before, I was doing interviews and I was like, 'what is happening?!'" she said, Us Weekly reports.
She added of three of her eldest children; Maddox, 13, Pax, 11, and Shiloh, 8 that it was “really fun” that they stepped up to help out.
"They took it very seriously when I said, 'You've got to represent mom. You gotta do this for me. You gotta do this for Louie [Zamperini],” she said.
Jolie said in a video posted by Universal at the time, “So, I will be home, itching and missing everyone. And I can’t believe it because this film means so much to me. I just can’t believe it, but such is life. There it is. But, send everyone my love and I hope it goes well.”
