Another couple from ABC’s Bachelor franchise has called it quits. After getting engaged in May, The Bachelorette’s Andi Dorfman and Josh Murray have called it off.
The couple sent a statement to People and E! News confirming the news. The couple said that they just couldn’t work on the relationship.
“After several months of being engaged and working on our relationship, we have decided that it's best for both of us to go our separate ways,” the couple said in a joint statement. “We are very sad that it has come to this point, but this is what's best for both of us individually.”
They added that they will hope to remain good friends and wished each other the best for the future.
Murray, 30, and Dorfman, 27, became engaged in May, but the news was kept a surprise for fans until the Bachelorette finale aired in July. It was a surprising turn of events for fans, since many thought that Dorfman was going to pick Nick Vialli.
During the After the Final Rose episode, Vialli revealed that he and Dorfman had “made love” during the season.
Today’s news is just as surprising, since the couple appeared at the red carpet event for The Bachelor on Monday. They even told host Chris Harrison that they were looking forward to being together.
“We're looking forward to just settling down and relaxing and just having fun with each other,” Murray told Harrison, notes E!.
