Some famous Bostonians like Ben Affleck, Matt Damon, John Krasinski and Chris Evans have banded together for a late night skit in light of the Patriots and quarterback Tom Brady’s involvement in this past week’s biggest scandal: deflategate.
In a Jimmy Kimmel Live sketch, they all claim to be “the locker room guy” responsible for deflating the balls because of the investigation turning to a Patriots locker room attendant, who allegedly took the balls from the official’s locker room to another area on his way to the playing field.
Brady has called the whole thing “ridiculous,” but Affleck, Damon, Krasinski and Evans all admit to doing it in the skit.
Krasinski appears first – who calls himself “Tom Brady’s kid’s tutor” – saying he used the air from the balls to “save 17 people’s lives” after a blimp accident.
Damon says he saved his sick nephew. "So I go and I take a football. I don't want to squeeze all the air into his little lungs because, you know, I don't want to ruin the football, so I just take a little bit of air out of 'em, like 11 out of 12 of them, and it does the trick, it absolutely saves his lungs," he said.
The Affleck appears confessing, “I deflated those balls myself.” He added, “Let me ask you a question: Who are you gonna believe: Tom Brady, the greatest man in all humanity? Or a bunch of a****** on Twitter?”
