CBS has quickly renewed three of its hit freshman series for the 2015-2016 TV season. It’s great news for fans of Tea Leoni, Scott Bakula and Katharine McPhee.

Madam Secretary, which has been successfully paired with The Good Wife on Sundays, will be back in the fall. It has averaged 14.9 million viewers, making it the second-most watched new show of the season. The series stars Leoni as the Secretary of State.

Scorpion follows a group of computer geniuses who tackle modern crimes. The ensemble cast includes Elyes Gabel, Robert Patrick, Eddie Kaye Thomas, Jadyn Wong and Ari Stidham. It has averaged 14.5 million viewers on Mondays.

Lastly - and the most obvious renewal - is NCIS: New Orleans, which stars Bakula, Lucas Black, Zoe McLellan, Rob Kerkovich and CCH Pounder. It is averaging 18.1 million viewers, making it the second-most watched drama overall. Only the original NCIS is drawing a bigger audience.

“These freshman dramas have each made a big impact on key nights of the week,” Nina Tassler, Chairman, CBS Entertainment, said in a statement. “Creatively distinctive, the series are backed by strong showrunners with amazingly talented casts, and have resonated with a big, broad audience.”

All three shows are CBS Television Studios productions.

The news comes just a day after The CW renewed eight of its shows for next season.
