Singer, actress and designer Emma Bunton turns 39 today. After a few minor television appearances, Bunton joined the Spice Girls as "Baby Spice" in 1994. Bunton also served as a songwriter for the group, who has sold more than 100 million records worldwide and topped every major albums chart around the world.

Bunton made her solo debut with the release of her debut album, A Girl Like Me, which peaked at No. 4 on the UK Chart. Her second album, Free Me, was released in 2007 and peaked at No. 7 on the UK Chart and earned Gold certification.
