R&B singer Chris Brown’s New Year hasn’t gotten off to a great start. The singer had a hearing on January 15th which revealed his probation had been revoked until March 20th. At that time the judge will receive an update from probation officials on the singer’s case.

Brown has been on probation since 2009 for his attack on then girlfriend and singer Rihanna.

Brown doesn’t seem overly concerned with the decision. He seems to actually consider it a blessing, re-tweeting a quote from one of his fans which emphasized the positive outcome of the decision.

The judge revoked the probation because, according to Billboard, Brown failed to complete his 1,000 community service hours on time.

The revocation of the singer’s probation also is connected to a recent shooting at the Fiesta night club in San Jose last weekend. The singer posted an Instagram video the day after the shooting of the crowd enjoying themselves, with an explicit caption that referred to his refusal to host any more ‘hood’ parties.

The singer’s happiness seems to be linked with not having to do jail this time around and being able to continue his on-going tour.
