Fifty Shades of Grey opens in a few weeks, so Dakota Johnson is conveniently making her Vogue cover debut this month. In the interview, the daughter of famous parents says that she’s a bit scared of becoming famous and losing her anonymity.

“I think about my dwindling anonymity,” Johnson, whose mother is Melanie Griffith and father is Don Johnson, told the magazine. “And that’s really scary because a very large part of me would be perfectly happy living on a ranch in Colorado and having babies and chickens and horses—which I will do anyway.”

Before Johnson was cast as Anastasia Steele, she was best known as the girl who introduced Justin Timberlake to Facebook in The Social Network. She also starred on the short-lived Fox sitcom Ben And Kate and appeared in 21 Jump Street and Need For Speed. Those credits haven’t exactly made her a big star. But Fifty Shades is going to change all that.

Director Sam Taylor-Johnson told Vogue that Johnson’s skills really impressed her, especially when she delivered a speech from Ingmar Bergman’s Persona during her audition.

“She blew us out of the water,” Taylor-Johnson said. “She understood the nuance of that passage and how to play something delicately. Dakota has the ability to play so fragile and vulnerable, but with this underlying strength that makes you feel she is going to triumph.”

Johnson hadn’t seen the completed picture when Vogue interviewed her, but she’s excited to be part of the entire thing.

“It’s just the most insane thing to be a part of,” she said. “I’ve never experienced anything like this; I don’t think anyone has. It’s terrifying—and it’s exciting.”

Fifty Shades, based on E.L. James’ novel and co-starring Jamie Dornan, hits theaters on Feb. 13. Fandango said last week that it is the fastest-selling R-rated movie in the site’s history.
