Glee is back for its sixth and final season and the ratings for the premiere came in lower than expected.

Entertainment Weekly reported that the premiere turned in about 2.3 million viewers and a 0.7 rating among adults 18-49. The show did move to a new night on Friday evening instead of its normal time. The show aired last season on Thursday.
This show also became the lowest-rated regular episode for a series that is on a major broadcasting network. This was also the weakest premiere for the show since it debuted. The final season had an original order for 22 episodes but it has been consolidated down to 13 episodes.
The season six premiere did feature Lea Michele performing the hit from Frozen "Let it Go" which was a highlight from the two-hour debut, Inquisitr reported. The show also featured a variety of covers including "Sing" by Ed Sheeran and "Problem" by Ariana Grande.
