Bravo star and fitness expert, Greg Plitt, was struck and killed by a train on Saturday and new details are now emerging about the fatal accident.

As we previously reported, Plitt was hit by a Metrolink train in Burbank, California at around 4:10pm that afternoon. He was 37 years old.

TheWrap reports that thanks to surveillance footage, it’s been determined Plitt was filming at the time of his death. There are conflicting reports as to whether he was filming an energy drink commercial or his own fitness video.

Metrolink spokesman Jeff Lustgarten called the accident “very, very preventable,” noting he wasn’t authorized to be on the tracks, which is actually a misdemeanor for trespassing.

“Had the proper channels been followed, this would not have happened,” he said.

Burbank police officer Joshua Kendrick also said Plitt “was running on the tracks and did not respond to a horn blast,” but “We’re unable to determine if he fell because of the angle of the video.”

The reason he was running on the tracks, says his friend Warren Coulter and his girlfriend Christina Stejskal, was to get the best possible action shot. He wanted to emulate Superman.

Coulter told LA Times,"He just made a mistake," while Stejskal said “He wanted to push things to the limit.”
