During Gwyneth Paltrow’s interview with Howard Stern on Wednesday, she addressed her estranged husband Chris Martin’s rumored relationship with Jennifer Lawrence.

When Stern suggested she doesn’t approve of the relationship, the GOOP founder said she trusts Martin’s judgment.

"Who says I don't approve of Jennifer Lawrence? I respect him as the father of my children,” she said, E! Online reports. “It's his decision…He wouldn't be with someone who isn't great."

She also talked about their efforts to stay united as a family even during a difficult time like this.

"We laugh and we have fun but there are times when it's really difficult. Things happen and you're like, I'm sure he doesn't want to hang out with me and I don't want to hang out with him but for the sake of the kids, you do it,” she said.

The Mordecai continued they make sure they “also don't do it all tense. You say, 'I really want to find the love for you and I want to forgive you and I want you to forgive me and let's have some fun as a family.'"

Paltrow also discussed her previous relationships with Brad Pitt and Ben Affleck on the show.

Martin and Lawrence were rumored to have split but they were seen together earlier this month on a dinner date at Kiwami Sushi in Studio City, Calif.
