Gwyneth Paltrow may be single now but she’s dated some of Hollywood’s leading men, including Brad Pit and Ben Affleck.
Paltrow was engaged to Pitt in the mid-‘90s when she was in her 20s and she dated the Gone Girl star on and off from 1997 to 2000. She went on to marry Chris Martin in 2003.
The Mordecai star, now 42, told Howard Stern on his SiriusXM radio show on Wednesday Pitt was simply “too good” for her and Affleck wasn’t “in a good place in his life” at the time to be dating anyone.
"I definitely fell in love with him. He was so gorgeous and sweet. I mean, he was Brad Pitt!" she said about her relationship with the Fury star after meeting him in 1995.
She continued, "I was such a kid, I was 22 when we met. It's taken me until 40 to get my head out of my ass. You can't make that decision when you're 22 years old... I wasn't ready, and he was too good for me. I didn't know what I was doing."
Paltrow said of splitting from Affleck that her parents, the late Bruce Paltrow and Blythe Danner, “were okay with us not being together."
She also addressed the famous “consciously uncoupling” term when she split from her husband off 11 years, Martin, saying "I made a mistake," calling it a “goofy term.”
