Jennifer Lopez has been busy promoting her new film The Boy Next Door, and in an interview with Complex she talked about her decades-long career as well as aging in Hollywood.

She’s proud of remaining a sex symbol in her 40s and it shows. Lopez commented on the hype surrounding her “Booty” remix music video with Iggy Azalea and how proud she is of her body.

“It felt right. It’s a good message for women,” she told Complex. “I’m standing next to this girl who is 24 years old and I’m in my 40s and there’s no difference. Women need to see that and feel that.”

She went on to talk about being a mom and still feeling good about herself, laughing, “I’m not allowed to be sexy because I’m a mom? It’s like, How do you think I got my children.”

Lopez has managed to continue to work all throughout her 20-year career and thinks she’s even “better” now than she has ever been.

“I feel great about being able to do everything that I did in my 20s better now,” she said. “That’s what happens as you mature, you get better. You have more experience. And I’m proud of that.”
