Justin Bieber made a surprise appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Wednesday for her birthday show, which airs on Thursday. However, the pop star was not happy with the way it went and posted an apology video to his fans on Facebook later that night.
He admitted he was “nervous” during the appearance because he had not made a public appearance in a long time.
“I was really nervous. And I think I was nervous because I’m just, I was afraid of what people are thinking about me right now,” he said in the Facebook video.
He added, “It’s been a minute since I’ve been in a public appearance and I didn’t want to come off arrogant or conceited — or basically how I’ve been acting the past year, year-and-a-half.”
Bieber, who has reportedly completely changed from his troublemaking ways of the past year or so, will appear on a Comedy Central Roast to try and rehab his image.
He admitted that he “felt awkward up there” and “like people were judging me.”
“I really want people to know how much I care, how much I care about people and how I’m not that person who says, ‘I don’t give a f---!’ I’m not that kid,” he added.
DeGeneres didn’t seem to mind the nerves, tweeting afterwards that he was “perfect.”
