Kaley Cuoco is defending herself after her comments about feminism were printed in Redbook magazine, saying her words were twisted.

The Big Bang Theory star denied being a feminist but talked about the traditional role she takes in her marriage to Ryan Sweeting.

Those who do support the feminist movement weren’t happy, so she took to Instagram to explain herself.

She posted a photo from the shoot and wrote, “Some people have taken offense to my comments regarding feminism- if any of you are In the ‘biz’ you are well aware of how words can be taken out of context.”

She continued, “I'm completely blessed and grateful that strong women have paved the way for my success along with many others. I apologize if anyone was offended. Anyone that truly knows me, knows my heart and knows what I meant.”

Cuoco, who reportedly makes $1 million per episode of her hit CBS show, also said in the article that she doesn’t really think about feminist issues because others have paved the way for us in previous decades.

"Things are different now, and I know a lot of the work that paved the way for women happened before I was around,” she said. “I was never that feminist girl demanding equality, but maybe that's because I've never really faced inequality.”
