Actress Katie Holmes, known for Dawson’s Creek and her recent role in The Giver, is set to star in the third season of the popular Showtime series Ray Donovan.

According to Zap2it, a press release explained that Holmes would be taking the role of a woman named Paige, who is described as a shrewd businessowoman whose father is a rich producer named Andrew Finney.

The show is being filmed in Los Angeles and is rated second for the network for drama television, with Homeland being number one. It centers on a man named Ray Donovan (Live Schreiber) who makes the problems of the rich and famous go away.

People reported that Holmes will also be in another Kennedy movie in her role as Jackie in the Reelz Channel film The Kennedys: After Camelot. She also will be starring in a movie she directed based on the Annie Weatherwax novel All We Had.

E! News reported that the storyline Holmes is involved in occurs when Paige’s father, played by Ian McShane, asks for Ray to help his family when they end up in a tough situation.

The third season is expected to air this summer.
