Kristen Stewart is known for her role in the Twilight franchise and in her critical acclaimed performance in the Oscar nominated Still Alice, but there is one role that Stewart has yet to take on: a superhero film.
Yahoo interviewed Stewart who opened up about the fact that she loves to watch superhero films and would like to be a part of a franchise, if it was the right role for her.
"I would love to show people that I can do more than just be ‘Kristen Stewart’ in a different movie, in a different circumstance," explained Stewart. "I’m sure I could get on board with Captain America, you know what I mean?… It would just have to be the right thing.”
Entertainment Tonight added that Stewart is also pulling for her Still Alice co-star, Julianne Moore, to win the Oscar for her role in Still Alice. Moore is also known for working on indie films and also moving into mainstream franchises like The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1.
"I really hope that she’s acknowledged for that because it’s about time," said Stewart.
