Actress Mandy Moore and musician Ryan Adams have called it quits. Moore filed for divorce on Friday and their reps later confirmed the news.

News of the split was first reported by Radar Online, which noted that Moore cited irreconcilable differences and did ask for spousal support. She didn’t put down a date of separation.

“Mandy Moore and Ryan Adams have mutually decided to end their marriage of almost 6 years,” reps for the couple told E! News. “It is a respectful, amicable parting of ways and both Mandy and Ryan are asking for media to respect their privacy at this time."

Adams, 40, and Moore, 30, did not have any children. They tied the knot in March 2009 in Savannah, Georgia. They celebrated their fifth anniversary last year, with Moore even posting their marriage license on Instagram. Yesterday, she posted a picture of her cat stretching.

The couple frequently worked together and there were rumors that Adams was helping Moore make her first album since 2009. However, it was clear that things weren’t going so well in September 2014, when Adams refused to talk about his private life in an Australian interview.

Adams recently released his self-titled album, which earned a Grammy nomination for Best Rock Song for “Gimme Something Good.”

As for Moore, she voiced Rapunzel in Disney’s Tangled and recently appeared on Fox’s Red Band Society.
