During a hearing Tuesday morning in Delaware, a Christian musician, who has performed at NASCAR events, said that Kurt Busch’s ex-girlfriend was out for revenge.

The Associated Press noted that Richard Andrew Sniffen testified that after Patricia Driscoll and Busch broke up, Driscoll told him that she would ruin the racecar driver’s career.

"I will destroy him," Sniffen quoted her as saying.

Driscoll is seeking a protection order against Busch for an alleged assault last September. As previously reported, the ex-lover claimed that Busch was distraught over a poor qualifying and got angry with her. She alleges that the NASCAR driver slammed her head against a wall inside his mobile home at Dover Downs International Speedway.

Busch did not deny the two had an argument, but disputes what Driscoll said took place.

The 36-year-old claims that he put his hands around her face and asked her to leave, but denied pushing her head against the wall.

Busch’s lawyer, Rusty Hardin, the same attorney who represented NFL running back Adrian Peterson in a child abuse case, painted a picture of Driscoll as a scorned lover that is not credible.
