Naya Rivera appeared on The View again on Wednesday and apologized for the comments she made about the differences in how often people of different races shower.
The Glee star got some backlash for her comments on Tuesday’s show, in which she said showering “once a day or every day is such a white people thing."
"I had an opinion on it that was supposed to be a joke. Apparently it didn't go over so well,” she said. "It was supposed to be a joke, but I apologize if anyone was offended. However, I'm very excited that it sparked a big conversation about how many times you should shower."
It all started when co-host Nicole Wallace admitted she showers up to three times a day, but Rivera said she only showers once every few days.
"But I can say that I am now married to a white man [Ryan Dorsey], and he showers a lot,” she also said. “Like, a lot -- two, three times a day. I'm like, 'What are you doing?'”
After getting backlash on Twitter, she wrote back “When you get out of the shower today, get a sense of humor. Love ya!”
