Nick and Vanessa Lachey have welcomed their second child; a baby girl named Brooklyn Elisabeth Lachey. They also have a 2-year-old son named Camden John.
Vanessa took to Instagram to show off the first photo of baby Brooklyn’s tiny fingers.
On her website, she called the newborn her “best friend.”
“I have been dreaming of this moment for as long as I can remember, the day I was going to meet my little girl,” she wrote. “A friend recently told me how magical today was going to be because it’s the day I would meet my best friend.”
“I can’t even begin to tell you how it felt to hold her in my arms for the very first time,” she continued. “Mommy, Daddy and big brother Cam love you so much already, Brooklyn!"
Vanessa was extremely candid about motherhood in November while talking to American Baby. She said she didn’t bond with Camden while she was pregnant until she found out his sex.
“I felt guilty because everyone told me about this love I’d feel, and I wasn’t there yet,” she explained. “I remember asking Nick, ‘Is something wrong with me? I’ve wanted this my whole life and I’m forcing myself to have those feelings.’”
