In the trailer for Nicki Minaj’s documentary My Time Again, she freaks out about a snake during the MTV VMAs rehearsal, talks fame and her humble beginnings as a waitress.
Minaj talked about her new album The Pinkprint, admitting she went on an “emotional rollercoaster” to make it.
She also talked about fame, saying until “you’re in it, you really can't wrap your brain around it,” E! Online reports.
Minaj also talked about the thick skin and strength she’s been forced to use in such a challenging industry, explaining “When I'm faced with crazy adversities, I turn on a switch that I don't even know I have sometimes."
She has previously opened up about getting fired from Red Lobster for flipping off customers, and in the trailer, she revealed she used to “steal bread” just so she could eat.
In one clip, she’s rehearsing for the VMAs with her dancers when one of them gets bit by a boa constrictor. “Oh my, god. She got bit?!" she shrieked.
My Time Again airs on MTV on Jan. 18.
