Actor Patrick Dempsey and his wife of 15 years, Jillian Fink, are ending their marriage. Fink filed for divorce on Friday.
According to TMZ, Fink cited irreconcilable differences. She is asking for joint custody of their three children and spousal and child support. The news was first reported by Radar Online.
They do not have a prenup and Dempsey, who has starred on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy for 11 seasons, is reportedly worth $40 million.
A source told TMZ that it is not clear if the divorce will be amicable, since she thinks his ego is out of control. “She’s all about the kids,” a source said.
The couple later confirmed the news in a statement, which read, “It is with careful consideration and mutual respect that we have decided to end our marriage. Our primary concern remains the well-being of our children, and we ask with profound gratitude that you respect our family's privacy at this very sensitive time."
The couple has three children, Talula Fyfe, 12; and twins Sullivan Patrick and Darby Galen, 7.
