New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft said that if the NFL’s investigation into Deflategate reveals no wrongdoing by the team then he wants the league to apologize.

ESPN noted that Kraft made an unscheduled appearance and spoke to the media Monday evening after the team arrived in Phoenix.

"If the Wells investigation is not able to definitively determine that our organization tampered with the air pressure on the footballs, I would expect and hope that the league would apologize to our entire team and, in particular, coach [Bill] Belichick and Tom Brady for what they have had to endure this past week," Kraft said.

The team owner also said that he was “disappointed” in how the entire situation was handled.

Meanwhile, reports have surfaced that the league was looking into allegations that a Pats' locker room attendant may have had access to the footballs after they were inspected by the referees.

That attendant is said to have previously been interviewed regarding the investigation into the pressure of the game balls.

Unfortunately, this dark cloud still looms and is hanging over a time that is supposed to be all about Super Bowl XLIX. Hopefully, by the end of the week, the only focus will be on the upcoming game.
