After Pete Wentz was diagnosed with bipolar disorder as a child, he’s now saying he’s concerned that his children could inherit it too.
According to Business Standard, the Fall Out Boy bassist is worried that his two children, six-month-old Bronx and five-month-old Saint could have the mental ailment when they get older.
Although he credits Bronx and Saint for helping him get his life on track, he fears the two boys could have the same “highs and lows” that he experienced in his past.
“That’s one of the things I’ve worried about,” he said.
Along with opening up about his mental disorder that he has struggled with for years – at 18 he tried to commit suicide by taking prescription medication – he recently talked with Howard Stern about his past relationship with Ashlee Simpson.
Wentz is currently dating model Meagan Camper but was married to Simpson when they had their son, Bronx. He opened up saying that the reason the two ended their marriage was because he wasn’t sure of his identity anymore when he became “Mr. Mom.”
