Buffalo Bills head coach Rex Ryan believes that Bill Belichick himself may be responsible for a recent string of fire alarms going off at the hotel the New England Patriots are staying in for the Super Bowl.
According to The New York Daily News, Ryan said that Belichick may have pulled the fire alarm
“He’s the one that pulled the thing and created a different story. Those things happen. You try to prepare your team in the offseason – training camps and all that kind of stuff. Would you pull a fire alarm or something? You may.” Ryan said.
Ryan also added his thoughts about the "Deflategate" controversy where the NFL found 11 of the 12 balls used by the Patriots in the AFC Championship game were under-inflated.
“It’s an unfortunate black eye for the NFL,” Ryan said. “Hopefully everything (will smooth) out, we figure out what’s up and we don’t have to talk about it anymore."
Belichick has denied any knowledge or involvement in the incident.
The New England Patriots are set to face the Seattle Seahawks in the Super Bowl on Feb. 1.
