Since the Northeast was hammered by a snowstorm earlier this week, the topic of discussion at TheCelebrityCafe.com was our favorite movies to watch during a snow day. You’re stuck inside, there’s nothing but The Price is Right on TV and you don’t want to hear women yell at each other on various talk shows. So, the best thing to do is pop in a movie.

Will Ashton: As someone who absolutely despises the snow, I suppose any movie would be a snow day movie for me. However, if a blizzard were to strike my living quarters and render me stricken to watch one, and only one, movie, I would likely have to choose The Incredibles. It may not fit the season, or really have anything to do with what's going on outside, but Brad Bird's super witty, fast-paced and hyperactive animated film is not only my favorite superhero movie, but remains one that I can watch an endless amount of times and never get tired of. In light of the cold, something as warm and comforting as that is all you really need.

Angela Corry: My snow day movie has to be Armageddon (1998). I watch it whenever it's on, and it's a movie I actually own that's not from Disney/Pixar. First, you have the all-star cast of Bruce Willis, Ben Affleck, Billy Bob Thornton, Liv Tyler, Owen Wilson, Steve Buscemi and the late Michael Clarke Duncan. Then the story, an end of world love story mash-up with tons of suspense as well as humor, gives everyone something to appreciate. Finally, there's the soundtrack, with classics like "Come Together" and "Leaving on a Jet Plane" along with Aerosmith 's "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" rounds out the experience. I laugh, cringe and cry every time I watch.

Chelsea Lewis: Being a Michigan resident we are used to a decent amount of snowfall every winter but when we are granted that magical snow day, it seems like the best opportunity to relax and put in a favorite film! When I am enjoying being snowed in at home, I often put in Aladdin. Yes, the classic Disney animated film. On a day when ice and snow have taken over, Aladdin takes you to a warm far off place complete with musical numbers and many moments of laughter between the characters and the amazing Robin Williams, playing the Genie. It's fun, whimsical and makes you forget about the many inches of snow you have to shovel the next day to get to work.

Anna Rose Meeds: The moment that I picked up The Lord of the Rings books, I was drawn into a magical world and terrifying journey. The realistic characters, deep themes, and tragic but hopeful plot makes Tolkien's work a true masterpiece. Watching the movies for the first time, however, was a bit scary. What if they did not do the books justice? Luckily, Peter Jackson's epic trilogy is one of the best book-to-film adaptations ever made. With the hours of special features and deleted scenes, the extended versions of these films are the best to watch on a snowy day.

Marie Blake: When I'm stuck at home, there's nothing better than an epic fantasy to take up the time. That's why I think The Lord of the Rings trilogy would be the perfect snow day movie. The story, the action and the beautiful set designs allow for the perfect movie marathon while laying in bed or lounging on the couch. Following Frodo Baggins and the fellowship as they embark on a quest to destroy the One Ring is great when you watch them all back-to-back. No matter how many times I've seen it, I can always watch them again!

Elizabeth Learned: I don't know if I would be able to count myself in as being snowed in since I live in Arizona and the most we might get is some hail and snow up in the mountains. However, if there is one movie that I would watch whether snowed in or just stuck in the house, it would be Pride and Prejudice with Keira Knightley. It is one of my favorite movies and I can never get enough of watching it.

Gina DiFalco: I tend to be more of a binge-watch TV shows person but if I had a whole Snow Day to cuddle up on the couch and watch some movies I’d probably pick 2002’s The Pianist with the talented Adrien Brody. 2010’s The Fighter with Mark Wahlberg and my favorite, Christian Bale, and something much lighter like Frozen.

Daniel S Levine: As someone who grew up in Southeast Massachusetts, I can easily remember being stuck at home for a week because of snowstorms. These were usually the times that I would re-watch the original Star Wars trilogy. I’d watch all three in a row over and over again, in between shoveling the driveway.
