Shortly after the AFC Championship game which saw the New England Patriots put a primetime beating on the Indianapolis Colts, 45-7, reports surfaced that the NFL is investigating the Patriots for intentionally using deflated balls during the game.

The advantage would have been quarterback Tom Brady and the offense having a smaller ball which would be easier to grip during a game which saw a lot of rain and wind.

The media has already so enthusiastically dubbed it "Deflate-Gate."

Today, Brady spoke on the issue as he made an appearance on WEEI, a New England radio station.

Brady called the report "ridiculous."

"I think I've heard it all at this point. That's the last of my worries. I don't even respond to stuff like this," Brady later added.

The Patriots and cheating allegations are notoriously tied. "Spygate" has been one of the more controversial topics in NFL history, which is very closely tied to their first Super Bowl victory against the St. Louis Rams in 2001, notes Yahoo.

Now, instead of just focusing on a fantastic football matchup between two great teams, the media is going to have a field day with the Patriots cheating ways.

They have nobody to blame but themselves if the NFL finds any shady actions.
