Person of Interest is a show about a machine that can identify threats that are about to occur. The machine works in the process of numbers, social security numbers. When someone is found not to be a threat, then the machine deletes the irrelevant numbers. Harold Finch and his team, John Reese, Sameen Shaw, Lionel Fusco and Root are the ones who protect the irrelevant numbers that do end up in danger.

However, there’s a new machine in town named Samaritan, and the man in charge, John Greer, is determined to find Harold and his team and take them down.

The team had to take on new identities so that they would not be found by Samaritan. They struggle to keep their new identities private while still trying to protect the numbers the machine gives them. However, Samaritan appears to be taking over.

Person of Interest returns to CBS, Tuesday, January 6 at 10 pm.
