Plus-size model, Tess Holliday, has signed a contract with a distinguished modeling agency, the first of her size to do so.

Holliday is a size 22 and stands at 5’5,” proving the industry is now embracing all shapes and sizes of beautiful women.

“It's something that I've wanted my whole life, so to even think that it's happened, it feels like an out-of-body experience,” she told People.

MiLK Management, which is based out of the UK, tweeted their excitement at signing Holliday on Jan. 22.

“SOOO excited to announce we now represent #TessHolliday, plus-size model/blogger @TessMunster #MeetMiLK #MiLKcurve,” the agency wrote.

Even though she’s made history with her new contract, Holliday has already seen success in the industry. She’s been featured in Italy’s version of Vogue, has worked with famed photographer David LaChapelle and has even had commercial success with a Benefit Cosmetics campaign.

Holliday, 29, said starting modeling at the age of 15 helped her confidence after being bullied in school.

"Modeling really helped my confidence because I started seeing myself in a different light. I started seeing myself like, 'Wow, I'm actually pretty,’” she said.
