Stunning footage of a near-miss crash on I-95 in New Jersey caused by black ice has gone viral on YouTube. The video was captured by a driver, whose car was nearly hit by a tractor-trailer.

In the minute-long video, posted on Monday, the driver was already pulled over behind another crash to take pictures. He then noticed another tractor-trailer speeding down behind him and turned the camera around. The truck swerved, hit the median and stopped on the opposite side of the highway. As the truck continued to slide on the ice, the trailers swung and nearly struck the driver’s car.

After the video went viral, the YouTube user explained that he did indeed call 911 and reported the accident to police.

“After that, I came to the truck driver and the rest of the cars to verify they were alright. After arrival of NJ State Trooper and his dismissal confirming that he does not require my presence, I left the scene,” the user wrote.

The video has now been viewed 4.4 million times.

According to YAhoo News, the New Jersey State Police reported that there were 428 accidents on Sunday morning alone because of ice.
