The Oprah Winfrey Network enjoys working with Tyler Perry. So much that the network scheduled more episodes for all four of Perry’s scripted series.
Perry’s four shows with Winfrey’s company are The Haves and Have Nots, Love They Neighbor, If Loving You Is Wrong and For Better. Due to what OWN president Erik Logan considers a “tremendous success,” the network has added at least 20 more episodes to each of the network hits.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, OWN can thank Perry for catapulting them into the top 25 cable networks in primetime among women 25-54. Love They Neighbor draws an average of 900,000 views a week while The Haves and Have Notes commands an impressive 3 million viewers.
It’s already been a good month for Perry. Welcoming a new baby in December, he threw a mind-blowing christening just last week. TMZ shared that there was even a custom built church in the Beverly Hills backyard. The church was a replica of the church his mother grew up in.
Congrats, Mr. Perry!
