UFC fighter Anderson Silva has denied allegations that he failed a pre-fight drug test before his bout against Nick Diaz at UFC 183.

According to Fox Sports, a test by the Nevada State Athletic Commission said that Silva tested positive for two different performance-enhancing drugs.

Silva's personal physician, Dr.Marcio Tannure, told a Brazilian radio show that Silva is "dissapointed" and "upset" by the report and is seeking another test.

"He will ask for the confirmation test because he believes the only explanation is a contamination or a mistake from the lab. He told me: 'I have an impeccable career history and I wouldn't want to tarnish my image.'" Tannure said.

ABC News reported that Silva's opponent, Diaz, tested positive for marijuana metabolites after taking a post-fight drug test. This marks Diaz's third marijuana-related offense. The NSAC will hold its monthly meeting on Feb. 17 where both fighters could be fined or suspended until a full hearing is done.

Silva returned to action after suffering a gruesome leg injury in a fight against Chris Weidman on Dec. 28, 2013. Silva defeated Diaz by unanimous decision at UFC 183.
