MTV’s hit series, Awkward is on its fifth and final season, and Ashley Rickards, who plays the lead role, is making her character a reality through her new self-help book titled A Real Guide to Really Getting it Together Once and for All (Really) set to come out March 31.

Jenna Hamilton, her TV character, is a notoriously well-written persona, who’s facing the awkward ups and downs of high school drama, as well as the stressful preparation for college. Throughout the progression of the show, Hamilton continues to keep a personal blog that relays her innermost thoughts about everything going on in her life. Now, those writing skills that were originally scripted for the purpose of the series, are becoming an actuality with Rickard’s first book.

The publication is geared towards girls of all types and stigmas. This down-to-earth actress feels that young people deserve more credit than adults give them, according to Teen Vogue. Topics of fears, dreams, sex, bullying, self-acceptance, and everything in between will be addressed in the upcoming advice book. Rickards digs deep into the awkward matters you wouldn’t want to discuss with your parents. Professionals such as spiritual coach Deepak Chopra, finance expert Zac Bissonnette, and celebrity trainer Lalo Fuentes all aided in making the finished product applicable for girls, with an overarching theme of learning to love yourself.

The book is up for presale on Amazon and Barnes and Noble, which the actress responsible for making Jenna Hamilton relatable to viewers, promoted through her Instagram. In-store copies will be available March 31, and we’ll see Rickards finish out the final season of Awkward later this 2015 year.
