Benedict Cumberbatch and Sophie Hunter surprisingly got married over the weekend on Valentine’s Day, but the British actor didn’t let a little thing like that stop him from visiting Jimmy Kimmel Live! on Monday night.
Cumberbatch and Hunter got married on Saturday in England, but Cumberbatch still flew to Los Angeles to be talk with Jimmy Kimmel. The host was a bit surprised that the Imitation Game actor still kept the commitment. Cumberbatch then said that it was their honeymoon.
To get Cumberbatch in the mood, Kimmel changed his set background to an island and offered Cumberbatch a pina colada.
Later, Cumberbatch and Kimmel talked baby names, since Huner is also expecting their first child.
“Will the baby take your last name?” Kimmel asked.
“Poor child... I think it will have to!” Cumberbatch joked.
Kimmel suggested that the baby’s name should start with a “Q” so the baby will be called “Q. Cumberbatch.”
Cumberbatch can currently be seen on the big screen in The Imitation Game, which earned him his first Oscar nomination. He also stars in Marvel’s upcoming Doctor Strange and is working on a new Sherlock special.
