Bobbi Kristina Brown, who was found unresponsive in a bathtub on Saturday, nearly three years exactly since her mother Whitney Houston died. Now, she’s reportedly in a medically induced coma and is “fighting for her life.”
Brown, 21, was found by her husband, Nick Gordon. Two days later, a source close to the family told CNN that she is currently on a ventilator in an intensive care unit.
The unnamed source told CNN that Brown’s eyes did open a few times on Monday, although she did have some seizures. She was placed in a medically induced coma.
“Bobbi Kristina is fighting for her life and is surrounded by immediate family. As her father already stated, we are asking you to honor our request for privacy during this difficult time,” the Houston family has said in a statement.
Brown was “not breathing” when Gordon found her in the bathtub of her home in Roswell, Georgia, near Atlanta. He tried to perform CPR until emergency crews arrived.
The police report stated that they were responding to a “drowning.” Police have said that they did not find drugs at the scene.
“Please allow for my family to deal with this matter and give my daughter the love and support she needs at this time,” Bobby Brown, her father, said in a statement through his lawyer, notes Reuters.
