Bruce Jenner has been getting a lot of support for opening the door to start a conversation about his transition to become a woman, but he’s also getting a lot of flack from the transgender community for exploiting the community.

Some believe Jenner is more concerned about the business aspect of announcing his transition that doing good for the community by setting an example as a public figure.

He hasn’t commented on the transition but will reportedly appear in a docu-series on E! about his journey.

Zoey Tur, who is active in the transgender community in Los Angeles, told TMZ the community is angered by Jenner waiting to make the announcement on the show.

“This is a civil rights battle. This is not about selling TV shows,” said Tur, who used to go by Bob Tur. "How much money do you need?"

Tur pointed out the suicide rate amongst the community, saying the former Olympian could make a difference if he used his story to help but instead he’s more focused on money.

As we previously reported, Jenner will make the announcement on Keeping Up wtih the Kardashians and his own show will follow the season finale.

The only close person in his life to publicly speak on it has been his 88-year-old mother, Esther Jenner.
