Singer Harry Styles and actor Michael C. Hall are celebrating their birthdays today, February 1.

Harry Styles, 21

Singer-songwriter Harry Styles turns 21 today. Styles started off his career in the England based band, White Eskimo. Styles later auditioned for The X Factor as a solo performer, but was eliminated. Styles was brought back as part of the group One Direction. The group finished in third place, but after their single, "Forever Young," was leaked online, they were signed by Simon Cowell and Syco Records.

In 2011, One Direction released their debut album, Up All Night and in 2012, they released their second album, Take Me Home. They released a documentary, One Direction: This Is Us, in 2013. They went on to release the albums Midnight Memories (2013) and Four (2014).

Styles has been romantically linked to The Xtra Factor presenter Caroline Flack, singer Taylor Swift and model Kendall Jenner.

Michael C. Hall, 44

Actor and producer Michael C. Hall turns 44 today. After taking part in minor grade school productions, Hall continued performing n stage in many productions including Macbeth, Cymbeline, Henry V, Camelot and A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Hall went on to star in the HBO series Six Feet Under, earning an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. The cast of the series earned SAG nominations for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series for all five years of their run, winning in 2003 and 2004.

Hall starred in and co-produced the Showtime television series Dexter. The series ran from 2006 to 2013 and Hall was nominated for five Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series every year from 2008 to 2012. He was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a TV Drama in 2007 and 2008, winning in 2010, the same year he won the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Drama Series.

Hall made appearances in the films Paycheck, Gamer, Kill Your Darlings and Cold in July. Hall is currently dating dating Morgan Macgregor, an associate editor at the Los Angeles Review of Books. In January 2010, Hall was diagnosed with a form of Hodgkin's lymphoma and in April that same year, it was announced that Hall was fully in remission.
