Singer Jason Aldean and actress Tasha Smith are celebrating their birthdays today, February 28.

Jason Aldean, 38

Country music singer Jason Aldean turns 38 today. Aldean moved to Nashville and started his career at the age of 21. After a few unsuccessful attempts at landing a record deal, Aldean got his big break from Broken Bow Records. He released his self titled debut album in 2005, which contained the hits "Hicktown," "Why" and "Amarillo Sky." The album earned Platinum certification.

Aldean's second album, Relentless, was released in 2007 and is certified Platinum. He went on to release Wide Open in 2009, My Kinda Party in 2010, Night Train in 2012 and Old Boots, New Dirt in 2014.

Aldean has also won numerous awards throughout his career. He won Top New Male Vocalist at the ACM Awards, Album of the Year for My Kinda Party at the CMA Awards, Artist of the Year (2011) and Album of the Year (My Kinda Party) at the American Country Awards, Male Vocalist of the Year (2013 and 2014) at the ACM Awards and Single of the Year for "Just Gettin' Started" at the American Country Countdown Awards.

Aldean has two daughters, Kendyl and Keeley, with high school sweetheart, Jessica Ussery. The couple divorced in 2013 and Aldean is currently in a relationship with American Idol contestant Brittany Kerr.

Tasha Smith, 44

Actress, comedian and model Tasha Smith turns 44 today. In 1994, Smith made her film debut in Twin Sitters. She later starred in two short-lived sitcoms, NBC's Boston Common and The WB's The Tom Show. In 2000, she starred in the critically acclaimed HBO miniseries, The Corner.

Smith went on to have guest starring roles on numerous television shows including The Parkers, Without a Trace, Nip/Tuck and Girlfriends. She also had a few minor roles in the films Playas Ball, The Whole Ten Yards and ATL.

Smith has collaborated with Tyler Perry on multiple occasions. In 2007, she starred in the film Daddy's Little Girls alongside Idris Elba and Gabrielle Union. She played Angela Williams in Why Did I Get Married? and reprised her role for Why Did I Get Married Too?. She continued this role for the television series Tyler Perry's For Better or Worse. The sixth season will premiere in March.

Smith also has a recurring role as Carol, Cookie's sister, on the hit FOX series Empire. In 2010, Smith married her manager, Keith Douglas.
