Since Kanye West’s post-Grammys outburst, celebrities have been weighing in about his comments on Beck.
First KISS rocker Paul Stanley and Garbage’s Shirley Mason weighed in and now Saturday Night Live alum David Spade chatted about it with Jimmy Kimmel on Jimmy Kimmel Live Wednesday night.
He admitted, "I want to like Kanye” but “it's virtually impossible.” Spade also joked about West’s constant need for Beyonce to be recognized, saying “How much can [Beyonce] do before he thinks she's going to catch a break in this town?"
Spade also joked about West's marriage to Kim Kardashian, saying even he knows his constant "fawning" over Beyonce is strange.
The “Only One” rapper - who Spade also said is "always yammering away" - has since taken back his comments that Beck needs to “respect artistry” during an interview on Ryan Seacrest’s radio show that same day.
“I think it came off the wrong way and that was a mis-wording on my part. Obviously Beck is one of the most respected artists, and respects artistry,” adding it’s the “voices in my head” that make him go up on stage during other peoples’ award moments.
