Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant recently opened up about his future with the team.

According to The Dallas Morning News, Bryant, who is a free agent this off-season, has expressed interest in re-signing with the team that drafted him.

“Regardless, I’m a Cowboy,” Bryant said. “I’m very confident that something is going to happen, something is going to get done, and have these Cowboys fans excited for a long time. I’m a Cowboy at heart.”

Bryant is reportedly looking to sign a long-term extension with the Cowboys that would place him among the highest paid receivers in the league.

Yahoo Sports reports that Cowboys owner, president, and general manager Jerry Jones will have to create a deal fitting of one of the best receivers in the NFL. Jones must also deal with trying to re-sign free agent running back DeMarco Murray who was named the NFL Offensive Player of the Year on Saturday.

Bryant was drafted by the Cowboys in 2010 out of Oklahoma State and accumulated 1,320 yards along with 16 touchdowns this past season. He was named to the Pro Bowl for the second time in his career but did not participate in the game due to a groin injury.
