Bruce Jenner may be sitting down for an interview with ABC’s Diane Sawyer after confirming that he was, in fact, making the transition to becoming a woman.

BuzzFeed reported that the negotiations for the interview began last week and that it may have caused some strife between NBC News, since E! is part of the NBC family, which is where the Kardashian clan’s escapades are shown on television. Jenner’s agent made no comment and an E! Spokesperson said, “We are not commenting.”

According to Page Six, a source for ABC confirmed to them on Monday the interview would be taking place.

As Jenner’s transformation has been noticed in the media, family members have continued to show their support for Jenner. Kim Kardashian spoke about supporting him, which she said that he would “share whenever the time is right.”

The family has also shown their support, including a snapshot that was posted to Instagram. However, the only person who has not commented about Bruce Jenner’s transition has been ex-wife Kris Jenner.

The interview with Diane Sawyer will reportedly air during the month of May while filming for parts of the show will begin as early as this upcoming week.
