Netflix shared the first teaser trailer for Daredevil, the first Marvel series produced for the streaming service under a long-term deal. Running just a minute and a half, the trailer promises to give fans a grittier version of the Marvel world than the movies or ABC shows have presented.
There’s plenty of action packed into the clip, with a voiceover from Charlie Cox, who plays Matt Murdock, the blind lawyer who becomes a vigilante at night. Although he’s blind, his other senses have been heightened and we see how useful his hearing is for fighting the bad guys.
In addition to Cox, the series stars Deborah Ann Woll, Rosario Dawson, Eldon Henson and Peter Shinkoda. Spartacus’ Stephen S. DeKnight served as showrunner, with Drew Goddard as an executive producer.
All episodes of Daredevil will be available on April 10.
