While NBC continues to have success with the Emmys in August, the other networks are apparently not ready to follow their lead. This year, it’s on Fox and the network will air the 67th Primetime Emmys in September.

Fox and the Television Academy announced today that the ceremony will take place on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m., from the Nokia Theatre L.A. LIVE.

The last time Fox had the Emmys was back in 2011 and they picked Glee star Jane Lynch to host. However, since Glee is coming to an end, it will be interesting to see who Fox hires during this go-round.

When the Emmys air on Fox, ABC and CBS, they usually take place in September, acting as a traditional launching point for the new fall season. However, in recent years when NBC has it, they air in late August so it doesn’t conflict with Sunday Night Football. Obviously, Fox and the TV Academy aren’t too concerned about the Emmys airing against SNF (although, they really should be).

The big winners at the 66th Primetime Emmys included Modern Family for Comedy Series and Breaking Bad for Drama Series. Fargo won Outstanding Miniseries, while The Normal Heart won Outstanding TV Movie.
