Dante found a bomb strapped to the dead body in the basement of the old Spencer house. He stumbled up the steps and screamed for help, but the door was locked and he was still weak. He searched for his phone and after finding it tried to call Lulu.

On The Haunted Star, “Luke” called everyone’s attention as he congratulated Michael and Lucas on their new business venture. “Luke” then rambled on for a while about his imposter before turning the room over to Michael. Lulu then realized she had misplaced her phone, which “Luke” found when it rang. “Luke” and Dante bickered and “Luke” told Dante that he should focus on the bomb about to blow up there and to know there was also one on The Haunted Star. Meanwhile, Michael suggested everyone raise their glasses to “Luke.” They did and all eyes were on “Luke”, who was still bickering with Dante on the phone. Lulu asked her father if he was on her phone. “Luke” said it was Dante, who was saying horrible things, so he yelled at him for not having his priorities straight and then he slammed the phone down breaking it. Lulu was shocked. “Luke” then apologized to everyone and said that he needed to collect himself, so he left.

On the docks, Helena had her men seize Nikolas to keep him from boarding the boat. The two argued and Helena finally told Nikolas that the boat was about to go up in smoke with everyone he loved onboard. Nikolas was furious as his sister and his date are on the boat, but Helena replied that neither was a Cassadine. Eventually, the men knocked him out and Helena ordered them to take him home. Later, “Luke” joined Helena on the pier.

At the PCPD, Sam questioned Jake/Jason about her stolen phoenix statue. Jake/Jason didn’t understand why he would break into her place and steal a worthless artifact, but Sam said that it was worth something to her and was worth something to Jason. Sam then asked him if he was going to deny stealing it or helping Faison escape, but Jake/Jason said no. He added that he had no memory of doing anything, but he did have flashes of events. Jake/Jason believed that for some reason someone had forced him to commit these crimes. Sam told him that he was insane and to stay away from her. Suddenly, Jake/Jason was overcome with more memory flashes of his past with Sam.

Meanwhile, Nathan had Jordan brought in and he asked her what she knew about Sonny’s escape from Pentonville. Jordan said she knew nothing. Jordan then filled him in on Dante planning to go to the old Spencer house to find the real Luke. Nathan then realized he needed to go find Dante, who wasn’t answering his phone.

Near Port Charles, Julian lost control of the van and it ran off the road and crashed. Everyone was knocked out, but one by one they began to stir. Johnny and Carlos pulled up behind the van to investigate with their guns drawn and a shootout commenced. Carlos caught Franco and Ava, but let Franco go as their boss had no issues with him. Ava managed to knock Carlos against the van and ran for it, however he was able to corner her on a bridge. Meanwhile, Johnny was able to get the upper hand on Sonny and Julian.

At Shadybrook, Heather told Nina that she wanted revenge on Franco and that she planned to use Nina to get it. Nina tried to convince Heather that she and Franco weren’t that close, but Heather got tired of listening to her and slammed her against the wall. Heather then pulled out a syringe that she had loaded with an overdose of LSD. Suddenly, Franco burst in and told Heather to back off.

Back at the old Spencer house, Nathan showed up, broke into the basement and rescued Dante, who told him to run. Nathan rushed down to the basement and picked up Dante. They notice there were only a few seconds left on the bomb's timer and hobbled up the stairs.

At GH, Elizabeth heard the newscast stating that Jake/Jason had been arrested. Then, news of the explosion came as Nathan arrived with Dante, who wasn't doing so well. Nathan then made a call to Lulu, left a message and headed out. Later, Dante came to and mumbled to Elizabeth about the bomb on the boat.

In the PCPD interrogation room, Jake/Jason told Sam that she gave him the phoenix statue. She was puzzled. He then had another flash and admitted that he stole it from her home. She suspected that someone had put him up to all of this. He admitted it was Helena. Then, more memories started flooding back to him. She could see how this was torturing him and wanted to help, but when she reached out, he jumped back. Finally, he blurted out that there was a bomb on the boat.

At The Haunted Star, Lulu, Maxie and Patrick discussed how strange “Luke” had been acting. Meanwhile, Tracy and Bobbie worried about “Luke”. Tracy decided to track him down. Patrick wandered over to Sabrina and told her that she deserved to be happy with Carlos. Across the room, Lucas filled Michael in about the prison break. Then, Lulu came over and Michael told her the news. Then, Nathan rushed in, looking for “Luke.”

Johnny held Julian and Sonny at gunpoint by the side of the highway. Before he could pull the trigger, he was shot by Julian. Johnny then ran off. Meanwhile, Carlos had Ava on the bridge at gunpoint. He taunted her as she begged and apologized for what she did to Sabrina, but he shot her in the shoulder anyway. After she screamed, she then fell back and went over the edge of the bridge. Then, Johnny ran up and told Carlos about his failure. After they ran off, Sonny arrived and found Ava holding onto the rail for her life. He wasn’t in a hurry to help but eventually gave her his hand, insisting that he was only helping her because it was what Connie would have wanted, but his grip wasn't good enough and she fell. Then, Julian rushed up. Sonny glossed what happened and insisted that there was nothing he could do. Julian wanted to look for Ava so Sonny left for The Haunted Star.

At Shadybrook, Heather held a syringe full of LSD on Nina to keep Franco at bay. He threatened to shoot his mother and then offered to put the gun in the cupboard. Franco then acted nonchalant, but Heather didn’t buy it. He then admitted that he had been a terrible son and insisted that Nina had been through enough. Nina then stomped on Heather's foot and wriggled free. Franco then wrestled the syringe away from Heather and leveled his gun at her. She strolled out to report them. Nina thanked Franco. He promised that she wouldn't lose him again and then he jabbed the syringe into his own neck.

“Luke” was on the pier chatting to Helena about Dante's demise. Then, Tracy interrupted. She accused “Luke” of being out of his mind when she saw him get cozy with Helena, who then slinked off. Tracy lectured “Luke” and grabbed at his face. He insisted he was the real Luke and wouldn't explain anything. She got frustrated and stormed off. As “Luke” headed up the stairs, Sonny arrived with his gun out.

On The Haunted Star, Nathan informed Lulu, Bobbie and Maxie that “Luke” attacked Dante and put him in the hospital. Lulu then left for GH to check on Dante. Elsewhere, Lucas told Brad that he was worried about his father and realized he should call Sam to fill her in on his escape.

At the PCPD, Jake/Jason told Sam that Helena had him put a bomb on The Haunted Star. He told her to call someone and have the boat evacuated. Sam called Patrick, but he didn’t answer, so she tried calling Lucas.

On the docks, Sonny held a gun on “Luke” and told him that he wouldn’t hurt Michael or anyone he cared about. “Luke” told him that it was too late, that Dante was already dead and the boat carrying Michael was about to explode.
On the bridge, Agent Sloane and other officers caught Julian. Julian wanted Sloane to call a search party for Ava, but Sloane wouldn’t until he found out where Sonny and Franco went. Julian lied and says he didn’t know where Sonny went, but that Franco was headed to Shadybrook. Sloane then ordered two of his men to Shadybrook and to shoot to kill if necessary.

At Shadybrook, Franco injected himself with the syringe of LSD in an attempt to stay with Nina. He then told her that no matter how dark or crazy he got that he needed her to be there for him. She made him promise to come back to her, and then the two shared a passionate kiss. Franco then began to experience a drug trip when the police busted in. Nina lied and told them that Heather injected him with an overdose of LSD, so he needed help. The doctors arrived and tied Franco to a gurney as he rambled philosophically.

Back on The Haunted Star, Lucas got a call from Sam and Jake/Jason, who told him there was a bomb under the bar. Michael found the bomb. Everyone began to scream as Michael carried the bomb off to throw it into the water. However, then Sonny arrived, took the bomb from him and jumped overboard with it. Then, the bomb exploded in the water, sparing everyone on the boat. Lucas was still on the phone with Sam and handed the phone to Patrick. Patrick assured Sam that everyone was okay, and she filled him in on Jake/Jason’s memories. Up on deck, Maxie and Nathan learned from Michael what Sonny did.

Back at GH, Lulu arrived to see Dante, who overjoyed to see her alive. She told him the bomb was found and disposed of by Sonny. She then told Dante that they didn’t know if Sonny was alive. Dante then filled Lulu in on what he knew about Bill Eckert posing as Luke all this time. He also told Lulu that in the basement of the old Spencer House was a decayed corpse that may have been the real Luke, but he wasn’t sure.

On the docks, Nathan showed up looking for Sonny, only to find “Luke.” He drew his gun and ordered him to freeze, but “Luke” got away. Michael and Maxie soon arrived as divers were searching the water for Sonny, but they hadn’t found anything yet. Michael realized that even if Sonny survived the explosion that he had been in the water too long.

Back at the PCPD, Patrick stormed in and attacked Jake/Jason, but he was able to pin Patrick until he calmed down. Patrick told them that everyone was okay thanks to Sonny, who was still missing. Cops told Sam and Patrick they needed to leave, and in the lobby Sam explained to Patrick that Helena Cassadine had Jake/Jason programmed just like Lucky. However, Sam didn’t know why she would do this to Jake/Jason or what her connection to him was.

Julian was brought into GH and was met by Brad and Lucas. Lucas was glad to see his dad alive and he told Julian what Sonny did for them.

On the docks, Carly got the details from Michael and demanded to know where Sonny was. She was sure he must still be alive. Michael told her about his final moments with Sonny and how he had gone from having two fathers to now having none. Then, Sonny's body was dredged up and dragged onto the dock. He was declared dead. Carly tried reviving him and called Michael over to help. When she started crying into Sonny's chest, he began spitting up and coughed himself back into consciousness.

Sobbing while watching "The Pain and the Yearning" at the Quartermaine estate, Alexis and Ned blew their noses. She wanted to stay and look after him since he had the flu, but he sent her away after they heard Julian was shot. As she left, Tracy arrived and complained about “Luke” hooking up with Helena. Ned was perplexed. Tracy then said she realized that “Luke” was no longer the man she fell in love with, how she felt like a fool and wished she could cry. Then, Nathan arrived with some cops to look for “Luke.” He explained the Bill theory to them. Tracy worried about the real Luke.

“Luke” showed up at GH and cornered Julian. He then grabbed a pillow and started suffocating him. Alexis interrupted and threatened to call security. “Luke” just strolled out. Julian then told Alexis that that wasn't the real Luke. He then filled her in about not actually shooting Anthony and why he plead guilty. He then sadly told her of his sister's apparent demise. He thanked her for coming and took her hand.

At home, Kiki got the news about Ava off the TV. Then, Morgan showed up and they worried about her mom. Then, Sloane and the PCPD arrived to search for Ava. The commissioner explained what they think happened. He thought Ava's chances for survival were slim to none.

At Wyndemere, Helena informed Nikolas that the plan fell apart. Nikolas threatened to make her pay for her bloodthirsty plans. He assumed Luke was playing her so she suggested Luke had been playing everyone else for years. She mocked him for being a lousy Cassadine so he held a blade to her throat. He lectured her for messing up his life and threatened to kill her. “Luke” interrupted and levels a gun at Nikolas. Once he backs off, “Luke” ordered him onto his knees. Helena begged him to stop and called for her guards. Then, the PCPD burst in.

When Sabrina got home, she was surprised to find that Carlos was there and Johnny was bleeding all over her couch. She was furious that Carlos is in the mob again. He offered to answer her questions if she fixed Johnny up. Sabrina stitched him up as Carlos explained what happened that night. After Zacchara passed out, Carlos confessed to shooting Ava. He wasn’t proud but it was done.

At the Quartermaine estate, Michael read the news. Tracy interrupted and they discuss Sonny's break out. Dante arrived to see his brother. Tracy wanted details about the man in custody so the cop told her about the dead body rigged with a bomb. Tracy rushed out. Dante urged Michael to pay their father a visit saying that he didn’t need to forgive him but he should thank him. Michael didn’t think he could do that.

Helena’s pacing in the cells made “Luke” nauseous. He blamed Nikolas for their failure. She blamed Sonny and assured him she had a get out of jail free card. Then, Sloane wandered in. Helena reminded him that he owed her. The commissioner explained that they needed to play things cool or face a revolt in the department. “Luke” told him to go ahead and run his prints. Sloane called Obrecht and ordered the bone tests to go ahead. After he left, Helena shook her head. “Luke” didn’t think they had any other options and wanted to move on to the next chapter. They should have let Bill rest in peace because the truth had been staring everyone in the face all along.

Silas comforted Kiki at the apartment. They discussed Ava's demise. She suspected Sonny dropped her on purpose and needed to be convinced otherwise. Then, Sloane arrived. Her mother's body hadn't been found but she was presumed dead.

Nathan visited Obrecht at GH. He wanted some answers. She showed him the remains they had gathered from the house. Liesl wished her son would had just become a farmer or a model. Then, Tracy burst in and was shocked by the remains. Nathan got a call and left. Then, Lulu rushed in. Obrecht got some preliminary results and explained that the remains are several decades old.

Meanwhile, Dante returned to GH to see his father. They hugged. Guards then came to escort Sonny back to Pentonville. Michael got off the elevator down the hall. He spotted Sonny being wheeled away and met him at the elevators. Sonny told him how proud he was of him. Before Michael could thank him, Ivy interrupted to tell them how grateful she was. So was her father, the governor of New York. He suddenly appeared and shook Sonny's hand. He had decided to let Sonny out of jail because of his courageous act. Down the hall, Nathan told Tracy and Lulu that the fingerprints of the man in custody were a match... for Luke Spencer.
