Giuliana Rancic has issued an on-air apology to Zendaya on E! News following the fall out of her dreadlocks comment from Monday night’s Fashion Police.

Zendaya responded in a lengthy post on social media on Tuesday morning, calling the comments “outrageously offensive.”

Rancic’s co-star Kelly Osbourne then threatened to quit if she didn’t “make it right” with Zendaya in 24 hours.

Rancic attempted to do just that, admitting she did “cross the line” when she said her hair probably smells like “pachouli oil” or “weed.”

“I didn’t intend to hurt anybody, but I’ve learned it’s not my intent that matters, it’s the result,” adding, “This really has been a learning experience for me, I’ve learned a lot today,” she said. “And this incident has taught me to be a lot more aware of cliches and stereotypes, how much damage they can do. And that I am responsible, as we all are, to not perpetuate them further.”
