Iggy Azalea is taking a stand against the cyber bullies!

Azalea is taking a break from social media following the harsh criticism she received after paparazzi photos of her in a tiny red bikini exposing her famous curves surfaced online, according to Us Weekly. The photos were taken when the Australian rapper was on a vacation in Hawaii with her long-time boyfriend, Los Angeles Lakers player Nick Young over Valentine’s Day weekend. The pair has been dating since late 2013.

On Wednesday, February 18th, Azalea took to Twitter to stand up against the critics and announce she was taking a break away from social media. “Just got back from a great vacation, came online and saw apparently it's shocking and unheard of to be a woman and have cellulite. Lol.,” she tweeted.

“I feel the hatred and pettiness i see online at all times is at making me become an angry person and I cannot be that.” She continued, “To become nasty because of the way I feel iam treated would be a disservice to my fans and I promise i will try to keep smiling.”

The 24-year-old “Fancy” singer continued her Twitter rant and let her fans know that she is stepping away from social media. “But I also want to let my fans know iam taking some time away from social media. I need to be happy and it is too negative and draining,” she wrote.

Azalea’s Twitter account is still active, but will be run by her management team. “My management will tweet/run my accounts from today onwards with updates etc unless any message is signed -IA. Love you all. Peace out!,” she tweeted.

Due to her top hits such as “Fancy” and “Beg For It,” Azalea has been receiving a lot of media attention within the last few years, but that doesn’t mean she’s okay with the lack of privacy. She tweeted, ““I just want to have peace and relaxation time without a perve with long distance lense hiding out taking pictures, everyone deserves peace.”

To end her Twitter rant, Azalea wrote, “The Internet is the ugliest reflection of man kind there is.”

This incident isn’t the first where Azalea vocalized her thoughts and anger via Twitter. Recently she blasted Papa Johns pizza after a delivery driver gave out her phone number and invaded her privacy. Also, back in December her and Azealia Banks were feuding via Twitter over Ferguson and the death of Eric Garner.
