In a letter addressed to "journalists and other people looking for drama or a diva", Jack White called out the media for their obsessive coverage of his leaked concert tour rider.
According to Variety, the former White stripes frontman was frustrated after a list of his pre-show demands featuring a recipe of guacamole was leaked and turned into a big story.
“I know it’s a fun thing for people to try to turn me into a jerk and a diva, but in this case it’s pretty ridiculous and has almost nothing to do with me,” he said.
Entertainment Weekly reports that the list was leaked by someone from the University of Oklahoma, where White performed in January, and printed in the school's newspaper. White's booking agency, William Morris Endeavor Entertainment, placed a ban on the school preventing its artists from performing there again after the incident.
White added that the unusal guacamole recipe was an "inside joke" made by his tour manager and that he still plans on performing in Oklahoma.
